![]() In Santiago, Chile she obtained the Bachelor Degree in Choral Direction and Vocal Performance at the University of Chile. She completed the high school music program at the National School of Music in Havana. Gabriela Martinez began musical studies at the Alejandro Garcia Caturla Music Conservatory in Havana, Cuba. She is thankful to God for this opportunity to teach others about Jesus. Wendy enjoys photography, scrapbooking, and reading. Wendy has been married to her husband, Bill, a sales rep for S-Tec, for 27 years, and she has two daughters…Emily, who is a recent Baldwin Wallace graduate, and Amy, who is currently studying at Cuyahoga Community College. Wendy has been the Director of Christian Education since 2011, and she recently took on the additional position of Youth Director. She moved to North Olmsted in 2003, and has been a Member of NOUMC since 2004. Wendy, a life-long United Methodist, graduated from Cuyahoga Community College in 1991 with an Associate of Arts degree. ![]() Of special interest is that she owned and operated her own ice cream retail shop called “SCOOPS,” and has worked in areas of membership recording-keeping, financial management, and music programming in several UMC churches. In particular, Terri has excellent organizational, communication, teaching, and creative problem-solving skills. Terri brings a great set of skills to the position with her past work experiences in church, business, and higher education settings. Terri also has a music degree, is a vocalist, and has directed music programs in churches and public schools. Pastor Hoyte’s wife, Terri, is a Realtor with ReMax Realty where she has built a very successful career. The Wilhelm family includes two adult children: Megan and Timothy. ![]() Pastor Hoyte’s interests with ministry include fishing, boating, biking, hiking, silence, prayer, meditation, reading, playing the trombone, traveling, and visiting with families and friends. He served as pastor at five churches prior to his appointment at North Olmsted UMC beginning July 1, 2019. In 1996 he discerned and responded to a clear call to ministry and enrolled at the Methodist Theological School in Ohio where he earned his Master of Divinity degree. Attracted to Higher Education Administration and College Student Personnel he earned a Master’s of Arts degree from Bowling Green State University and began an 11-year career in that field working at Albion College, Kenyon College, and the College of Wooster. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Valparaiso University and worked in marketing research. Pastor Hoyte Wilhelm grew up in Ada, Ohio where his father was a Chemistry Professor and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Ohio Northern and his mother was a 5 th and 6 th grade teacher in the public school.
